As we continue to grow and enhance our operations, we are looking for a Materials Controller to lead our materials planning strategy while spearheading the implementation and optimization of our ERP system to support long-term scalability.
**Position Summary**
The Materials Controller will be responsible for driving accurate materials forecasting, inventory planning, and procurement activities while leading the rollout and continuous improvement of the company’s ERP system. This role plays a critical function in aligning system workflows with real-world operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, supplier coordination, and data visibility across teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the implementation and integration of a new ERP system to support materials planning, procurement, and inventory management
- Manage and maintain accurate materials planning processes, including forecasting, purchasing, and inventory tracking
- Ensure ERP data integrity across item master, supplier records, lead times, stock levels, and purchase orders
- Collaborate with purchasing, finance, operations, and warehouse teams to align procurement with demand forecasts
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
- Analyze inventory trends and generate reports to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
- Develop standardized workflows and train internal stakeholders on ERP use and best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency through data, systems, and planning enhancements
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or procurement
- Proven experience in leading or supporting ERP implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and materials control systems
- Excellent attention to detail, data analysis, and documentation skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization or planning tools
- Mandarin language skills are required for communication with overseas vendors and partners
