Brampton, Canada Can Art Aluminum Extrusion Canada Inc. Full time

Can Art is a commercial leader in the Aluminum Extrusion field, with 3 plants in Ontario, come and join a true industry leader in this exciting manufacturing field.

We need Forklift Drivers to start immediately at our Brampton Plant, near Steeles and Finch across the road from Wet N Wild Toronto.
- **Must be able to work 12 hours continental shifts, shift rotating every two weeks, days to nights.**_

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.
- Establish forklift is in good working condition.
- Perform forklift maintenance checks each day before start-up and end of day.
- Supervise and provide billets for presses before they run out.
- Ensure all age ovens are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner.
- Stack material without causing damage to the load below it.
- Ensure all aluminum scrap bins at saw locations and presses are emptied half hour before end of each shift.
- Assure all paper work is complete and follows the material to the next stage.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Must have a valid Counterbalance (Propane) forklift license through a recognized institution
- Ability to work rotating and continental shifts
- Experience in the automotive, aluminum extrusion or similar industry where wide and heavy loads need to be transported an asset
- Good attitude and clear communication skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Good knowledge and record of safety, quality and productivity around the aluminum extrusion press
- Basic computer skills required.
