**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Designs, adapts and performs specialized research procedures.
- Carries out complex statistical analysis.
- Assists with recruiting participants for studies.
- Coordinates and conducts structured project participant interviews and focus groups.
- Conducts literature reviews and synthesis.
- Coordinates the use of laboratory equipment.
- Records, classifies, and summarizes research data according to established procedures.
- Performs other related tasks as outlined by the research coordinator.

**ADDITIONAL DUTIES**
- Supervising the master’s student research assistant.
- Communicating with the keynote panel speakers and facilitator, youth plenary speakers and facilitator, roundtable discussants, workshop facilitators, facilitator for wrap-up discussion, grant team members, performers, venue and caterer.
- Assisting the grant team in writing a final symposium report.
- Coordinating knowledge mobilization activities through existing partnerships.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program (health studies, health sciences, social sciences, humanities, etc.) at McMaster University or a university in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).
- Must reside in the GTHA.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a research assistant in a university setting.
- Experience with qualitative data analysis (using NVivo etc.)
- Experience transcribing data.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- High regard for quality and attention to detail.
