**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established Smitty's recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Assist in menu planning and inventory management to ensure proper stock levels.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Monitor food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Participate in catering events and banquets as needed.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in food production and preparation within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory control and management practices.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent cooking skills with experience in fine dining preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork within the kitchen.
- Experience in menu planning, shift management, and overall kitchen management is highly desirable.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
