Assistant Ice Technician

Overview:
**Duties**:

- Assist in preparing the ice surface for play, including scraping the ice, pebbling, nipping and mopping the surface
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks like vacuuming, mopping, removing garbages and cleaning any other surface areas in the ice shed
- Support senior technicians in diagnosing problems
- Perform equipment installations and upgrades
- Document maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications:

- basic knowledge of the sport of curling is an asset
- any certification through the OCA, Curling Canada or the World Curling Federation is preferred (but not necessary)

** Please note that this is a seasonal job, running from September to April

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
