**Summary**

A Host or Hostess makes sure that their customers feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. They create a warm and welcoming environment for customers from the moment they enter the establishment.

**Job Duties**
- Seat customers at designated tables and take drink orders, if necessary
- Provide menu and announce server name to the customer.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, welcoming, and front-of-house experience.
- Answer questions about the food and beverage menu, as needed.
- Understand the needs of servers to ensure sections are not overcrowded.
- Providing accurate wait times and monitoring waiting lists.
- Manage reservations.
- Retrieve customer coats as required.
- Greet customers upon their departure.
- Cater to customers who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly).
- Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
- Professional appearance and manners.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week

- Day shift
- Evening shift
