Together, we are building better bakeries. **The Bread and Butter of the Position** - Report any damaged, unlabeled, unpresentable, or missing product to a supervisor. - Continuously assist in product placement around the warehouse - Package and case product using a packaging machine, while ensuring compliance with company procedures. - Case each product based on casing limits and ensuring appropriate sizing materials are in use. - Ensure compliance with labelling procedures for all cased products. - Maintain cased product organization in accordance with company procedures and supervisor direction. - Accurately follow purchase order requirements including but not limited to product amounts, casing procedure, labelling, etc... - Assist the receiving department by pulling orders from the warehouse and preparing for pick up/deliveries. - Assist Inventory Control with administrative tasks on an assigned basis. - Operate packaging and warehouse machinery in accordance to Work Safe BC guidelines & Company Procedures. - Other duties as assigned **Roles and Responsibilities** - Must follow all Portofino Bakery’s Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and policies - Follow the Hygiene policy - Employee must follow and abide by the Jewelry Policy - Must report any issues regarding quality, equipment, stock, low goods, and/or packaging to management - Must hold Quality Control as a top priority - Not use equipment until properly trained to do so. - Rotate and follow the FIFO standard (First in First out) with all ingredients, stock, and products - Follow all WHMIS procedures **The Ingredients You Bring to the Table** - Must have the ability to be on feet for extended periods of time - Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to communicate effectively in English - Ability to work efficiently independently and in group situations - Work in an organized and clean manner - Have flexible scheduling - Display the ability to learn and grow in their position - Comprehensive Wellness and Leadership Development Program - Uphold Quality Standards **The Details You’ll Loave**: - $22.00/hour starting wage - Schedule: 5 days a week - 01:30 pm-5:30 pm - Guaranteed annual increase - Annual bonuses based on performance metrics - Access to complementary "staff bread" to take home - Footwear Allowance - Opportunity for advancement - Paid Training **Our Values and What We Expect From Our Bread head Team Members**: - **Integrity**_ We keep it real — in the way we treat our customers, in the way we speak with one another, in the way we walk our safety talk, and in the way we make our products.
