We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Family Worker. We are committed to providing support and resources to families in need, with a focus on empowering them to build stronger, healthier relationships.

As a Family Worker, you will play a critical role in delivering our mission and making a positive impact on the lives of families in our community. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment, leveraging your skills and experience to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the families we serve.

In this role, you will be responsible for offering direct services and intervention to assigned families in the Residential, Outreach Family Counselling, and Families First programs, while reporting to the Therapeutic Services Coordinator.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

- Conduct intake sessions and weekly family meetings with assigned clients.
- Plan and conduct group counselling sessions on topics related to family functioning.
- Attend school meetings for Residential clients.
- Conduct School Information meetings for clients.
- Arrange individual supervision with a clinical supervisor for a minimum of one hour and a maximum of two hours per month. Workers still within their probationary period must attend two hours of supervision per month.
- Maintain related records and reports in database.
- Communicate with other team members by using the main and individual logs.
- Keep up-to-date on the Residential client’s progress by reviewing individual log.
- Communicate with the Coordinator about pertinent events from the family meetings that may impact the teen’s behavior in the Residential Program.
- Perform additional duties as necessary or as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:

- Working knowledge of social theories and practices
- Experience working in a clinical setting with both families and adolescents
- Experience building and maintaining professional helping relationships with families and adolescents.
- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
- Resilience along with ability to assess situations.
- Organizational, time management and observational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft : Word, Excel, Windows, Outlook.
- English and French is require (Both written and speaking)
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Master’s degree an asset.
- Member of “Ordre des travailleurs sociaux du Québec” a requirement.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Varied Shift; ability to work evenings to conduct family meetings & during the day to conduct School Information Meetings.
- Remote position with occasional days requested to come into the office.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $24.50-$29.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Pointe-Claire, QC
