Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently recruiting a Systems Administrator to join our team at our head office located in Port Coquitlam, BC. enCompass Solutions Group services customers in a variety of markets, including Ports and Terminals, Industrial (Metals, Paper, Chemical, Mining), General Industry (Automotive, Manufacturing), Utility (Power Plants, Water and Wastewater), Marine, Oil and Gas, Mining, and others. Some of our customers operate in remote locations, so periodic travel may be required.

**_What You’ll Be Doing_**

As a Systems Administrator, you will be a key member of the Software Services Team and will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Responsible for internal IT; setup and ongoing support for our internal users.
- Monitoring server / network / system health and working to repair issues at our office or on customer’s sites
- Performing routing audits of systems at both our office and our customers’ sites
- Working with other Admins to manage internal infrastructure.
- Working extensively in a VSphere environment
- Interacting with clients at their worksites on needs analysis
- Basic SQL administration
- Azure Cloud configuration
- Setting up and assisting client devices - workstations, thin clients, mobile devices
- Troubleshooting errors, investigating and resolving system level issues
- Understanding the project lifecycle and process and contributing to proposal preparation, planning and implementation
- Supporting and commissioning new network installations - wired and wireless.
- Supporting and commission VPN solutions.

**_Who You Are_**
- Working knowledge of server operating systems - Windows 2019, 2016 or 2012 server
- Working knowledge of VMWare - workstation and ESXi.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
- Effectively communicate technical issues and status to technical and non-technical personnel.
- Must have desire to learn new skills and work with new technologies with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle support on demand
- Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web, Cloud and user support.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Drivers License in good standing.

**Salary**: $58,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- system administration: 3 years (preferred)
