**ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY**

Black & McDonald is currently seeking an Apprentice Plumber to join our Service Division in Regina, SK If you are a hands-on, customer service-oriented, and technically inclined professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Apprentice Plumber position is based out of Regina, SK and will report directly to the Service Supervisor.

B&M is committed continuous improvement and will endeavor to provide all training necessary to maintain the health and safety of our staff and support career development wherever possible.

**Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:

- Under the direction of the site foreman: move/haul material, pull water lines, fire caulking, thread pipe and assist with any other tasks required.
- Second year apprentices will independently: thread pipe, install laundry boxes, with supervision: begin drainage and assist with any other tasks required.
- Perform other duties as required.

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- WHIMIS, SCOTT, R&R, Mobile Aerial Platform Training, Fall Protection Training, Confined Space Training is considered an asset.
- Either a current member of the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship Program or the willingness to join

**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant Industry Experience (required)
- Consideration may be given to those who do not possess all the above requirements if they are able demonstrate a strong work ethic, passion for the trade, and a desire to learn.

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Clean Class 5 SK Driver's License and abstract
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strength, stamina, and the use of proper lifting techniques required to handle heavy tools and parts weighing up to 25 kilograms
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and do some moderately heavy lifting and carrying
- Ability to work in high, awkward, and noisy places
- Ability to work alone and with others
- The ability to contribute to a highly team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills
