Zagimē Anishinabēk is a progressive First Nations government, located around 22 KM Northeast of Grenfell Town in Saskatchewan. Zagimē Anishinabēk Goose Lake School serves the educational needs of less than 80 students from Prekindergarten to Grade 6 in split-grade classrooms.

**SUMMARY**:Under the direction and guidance of the Education Services Manager, the School Bus Driver is responsible for providing school bus service and transportation during the term for students residing on Zagimē Anishinabēk to the appropriate education facilities.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide additional school transportation services for the community, including substitution driving and driving other bussing routes as directed.
- Report and obtain prior approval on all required maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain an operator’s log including daily odometer log sheets and such other information as specified from time to time by the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the transportation unit daily, as required for sanitation, visibility, and proper operation.
- Be aware and knowledgeable in the owner’s manual for any van/bus being operated during the term to ensure they’re properly maintained and equipped in accordance with the requirements of the Highway Traffic Act of Saskatchewan regulations.
- Attend bussing and school transportation meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Ensure that the student arrives inside their home safely with a parent or guardian.
- Abide by the Education Bus Suspension Policy, informing parents and the supervisor of any suspensions, and report all incidents.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting as required.
- Uphold all SGI School Bus Driver Regulations.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- At least a Class 5 Licence (not a novice driver); must have a S Endorsement.
- First Aid / CPR Certification.
- Successful medical examination prior to employment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Patient, helpful, and pleasant manner.
- Submit a criminal record check with the vulnerable sector, and a pre-employment drug test prior to commencement of employment.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $14.91-$27.25 per hour
