Production Supervisor

**Summary**:
Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production floor in accordance with plant policies and procedures. The supervisor will ensure smooth production operation during shift.
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise production personnel in accordance with the plant policies and procedures
- Train and coach production line employees
- Conduct employee performance reviews
- Coordinate production startups, shutdowns and changeovers
- Responsible to meet shift production goals
- Responsible for quality control. Make decisions as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside specifications, document any infractions
- Responsible for the control of inventory of materials, allocating material and meeting production deadlines
- Responsible for organizing logistic schedules for all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- Communicate with other Shift Supervisors, Production Manager and Materials Manager
- Report all safety and maintenance repairs needed for tooling and equipment
- Ensure a clean and safe work area
- Assist in production as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
**Educational Requirements**
- Post-secondary education or trade qualification would be an asset
- Must have Supervisor Awareness Training, OHSA
- Must have up to date First Aid Training Certificate
- Must be Fluent in English
- Excellent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in supervisory role in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of manufacturing process, procedures and machinery
- Experience with measuring tools and reading blue prints
- Experience with Microsoft Word, excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or Equivalent
- Knowledge of 5S practices
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to lift 30 Lbs.
- Good hand/ eye coordination
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
**Compliance Required**:
- Compliance with all Mechtron Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Compliance with all Mechtron Quality System Policies and Procedures
**Work Environment**:
Work is in a loud, noisy environment, factory setting.
**All staff is expected to be flexible in terms of providing support and backup for functions outside of their job description and for working outside their normal working hours/location when necessary. Must be willing to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and nights).**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
