**Position Summary**:
Pieridae Energy is looking to fill the position of Instrumentation technician at its Jumping Pound complex and field, located 30 minutes West of Calgary. This role will report directly to the maintenance foreman on site. Schedule will be 9/80.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance directed through Pieridae maintenance system. (Maximo)
- Provide input in working with our scheduling and planning department as well as working with other trades within the facility to build effective corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, maintain instrumentation, electronic & pneumatic control systems within the facility.
- Perform diagnostics and repair on various instrumentation component including
- valves, transmitters, switches, analyzers, chromatographs, and analytical devices.
- Commitment to health and safety of others and the surrounding community.
- Read and update loop drawings, instrumentation, & specification/ calibration sheet.
- Maintain and repair fire and gas detection systems.
- Project scoping and implementation tied to our management of change system.
- Supervision of contractors and vendors on site.
- PLC, HMI, SCADA, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Maintain wireless and hardwired communication systems that communicate to SCADA
- Assist field operations in troubleshooting and maintaining field compressors and well sites

**Education and Work Experience**:

- Journeyman instrumentation technician ( red seal is preferred)
- Familiarity of AER D17, CEMS code, and associated document requirements would be considered an asset
- Familiar with the safety standards associated with working in a high-pressure sour gas plant.
- Comfortable performing mask work in a sour environment.
- Will require working at heights (up to 150’)
- Familiar with pipeline systems including line break valves
- Tickets that would be considered asset include H2S, Fall arrest, first aid, and TDG
- Effective written and oral communication skills considered an asset to communicate with our operations and engineering team.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Ametek, Fisher, Rosemount, and Siemens GC would be considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of facility processes such as sulphur plants, gas treating, Hydrocarbon fractionation, and water treating.
- Ability to be self-motivated.

- Industrial Plant: 5 years (preferred)
