Cumberland Paving and Contracting is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Cumberland Paving and Contracting provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate-based materials, highway operations, and maintenance services.

**As a Pipe Layer Labourer, You Will**:

- Assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems
- Install and repair storm, water, sanitary structures, or pipe systems
- Ensure ground is prepared, leveled, and compacted to proper grade
- Align pipes to prepare for connections
- Verify slopes to requirements
- Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite
- Comply with safe working procedures and practices
- Ensure worksite is organized and free of clutter and garbage

**What You'll Bring**:

- Previous experience in road work and asphalt paving and/or general construction
- Knowledge of paving process and equipment
- 2 years of experience in pipe laying
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawing
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Proficiency in working with hand tools
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to work well with others
- Flexible to work days/nights/weekends and out of town when required
- Travel may be required
