Cleaner/gardener

Currently seeking a self-motivated, positive, enthusiastic, and extremely detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Cleaner/Gardener on our team. The position is full-time, splitting your time between gardening and cleaning duties throughout the work-week.

Cleaner responsibilities include:

- Meeting with homeowners to discuss their expectations and preferences
- Cleaning according to the scheduled times set by homeowner
- Thorough detailed cleaning of cottage properties from top to bottom including, but not limited to;
- Scrubbing, sanitizing and polishing of bathrooms, toilets, showers and sinks
- Scrubbing, sanitizing and polishing of all kitchen fixtures and appliances
- Dusting of ceilings, light fixtures, picture frames, shelves, tables, and chairs
- Spot cleaning doors, frames, and windows as necessary
- Vacuuming and mopping various types of flooring
- Performing interior window cleanings when necessary
- Vacuuming carpets
- Laundering of linens, and personal items, when necessary
- Making up beds with fresh linens at the request of homeowner
- etc.

Gardening Responsibilities include:

- Maintaining lawns, gardens, and other green spaces (i.e. Spring and Fall clean-up, yard work, cleaning of debris from gardens, pruning, weeding, cutting the lawn, leaf-blowing, raking, setting up of planters, mulching etc.)
- Installation of landscapes, and seasonal flower designs as required by our clients
- Keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter
- Monitoring and ensuring plant health and well-being
- Knowledge of how to use and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, leaf-blowers, etc., while following health and safety regulations
- Ultimately, you will make sure gardens and green spaces are always healthy and beautiful.

**Requirements**:

- Self motivated, detail oriented, punctual and reliability is a must
- Proven experience, with references, of detailed cottage cleaning and gardening experience
- Sound knowledge of cleaning supplies and cleaning techniques
- Natural cleaning remedies and methods add a very strong asset
- The ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to stand for extended period of times
- The ability to adapt to changing schedules
- Excellent customer service skills
- The drive to get the tasks at hand completed in an efficient, and timely manner
- Comfortable traveling to job sites by boat in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift, and transport cleaning and gardening supplies/equipment as necessary
