Appliance Technician

Our client is the leading provider of commercial laundry equipment and service in Canada. They offer a complete line of vended and non-vended laundry equipment and multi-load washer/extractors and tumblers. Additionally, our client pride themselves on an extensive parts inventory and stocks, and qualified service teams who keep your laundry operations in top running order. They are currently looking for a **FIELD APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN WITH APPLIANCE REPAIR CERTIFICATE** for a full-time and permanent employment, on-the-road position, directly reporting to Service Manager.

**Job Summary**

As a qualified Field Appliance Technician, you are responsible for service and maintenance of laundry and appliance equipment within the scope of responsibility, successfully sustaining service levels and quality excellence to our customers and clients.

**Job responsibilities as a field appliance technician are the following**:

- Maintain, diagnose, repair and test laundry equipment and other products supplied by the company in our laundry rooms or specific areas of a building to the company’s level of quality and standards.
- Maintain professional/friendly relationships with customers/clients
- Maintain and be accountable for truck inventory (parts and specialty tools provided by the company) to able to complete work in a timely manner
- Maintain company vehicle in safe working condition
- Assist installers when required
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Backup a service territory/Installer
- Assist with on-site retrofit, equipment overhauls etc.
- Complete vend adjustment
- Site Inspection evaluations

**What we are looking for**:

- **Holds a valid Appliance Repair Certification** **or be enrolled in a certified course to obtain a valid Appliance Repair Certification as approved by the province.**:

- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude
- Basic electronic aptitude
- Minimum 1 year of small chassis Washer and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
- Multi-load Wash and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
- Self-Starter with proven ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrate strong technical, electrical, and mechanical ability.
- Ability to diagnose, trouble-shoot and assess plumbing, ventilation, electrical, make-up air requirements etc.
- Great organizational skills, related to maintain assets, travel and prioritizing workload to gain the best impact on productivity.
- Manage and maintain Coinamatic assets and expenses i.e.: vehicle, phone/communication device (tablet), fax machine, parts, uniform etc.
- Team player who can work with all levels of the organization i.e. sales, administration
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Requires own basic tools
- Able to work flexible hours including weekend

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
