**Position Overview**:
The Day Camp Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, operation and support of the Friends of Lower Fort Garry Day Camp program, ensuring its effective and cohesive operation on a day-to-day-basis; the training, support and supervision of all staff and volunteers; camper wellness and the administering of medications and first aid where/when applicable. Position will be full time (Monday - Friday days) for July and August.

**Job Duties**:

- Create and execute a week-long program of activities for the Day Camp attendees.
- Identify and secure required resources and supplies
- Orient all campers to the site and to the camp rules on the first day
- Coordinate daily clean-up of all program areas
- Adhere to and support all camp policies and procedures as detailed in the Staff Manual.
- Oversee and support the Day Camp Counsellor and all volunteers.
- Ensure completion of all relevant forms related to campers and volunteers
- Ensure return of all costume items loaned to campers at the end of each week
- Ensure the return of all costume items loaned to volunteers on their last day
- Communicate with parents when required
- Collect, secure and document medications from campers, and ensure delivery of medications appropriately and on-schedule.
- General First Aid
- Report any concerns or issues to the Director of Day Camp as they arise

**Qualifications**:

- 18 or older
- driver's license and reliable transportation. This position is on-site at Lower Fort Garry, public transportation is not available.
- Previous child care experience preferred
- First Aid and CPR certifications preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $18.50 per hour
