Yard Hand

We are looking to hire an energetic, proactive yard hand to assist with the day-to-day operations and organization of our yard and shop.

**Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with division managers and Dispatch to help coordinate all deliveries to the yard.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Oversee general maintenance and cleanliness of shop and yard including turf and garden maintenance, minor parking lot repairs, etc.
- Keep all asphalt areas clean and clear of debris and garbage.
- Ensure material and equipment are stored properly.
- Washing of all equipment and implements when returned to the office for service.
- Watering of plant material in nursey.
- Maintain turf and garden areas on a weekly basis.
- Operate heavy equipment including skid steer, loader, and smaller equipment such as chainsaws, leaf blowers, lawn mower, string trimmer, etc.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
- Complete all necessary paperwork as required for repairs and inspections.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in landscaping or construction.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment.
- Basic understanding of mechanics.
- Able to prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environment.
- Clean driving record and willingness to travel daily.
- Excellent time management & communication skills.

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
