You lead the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site quality management system and report results to the quality section manager.

**How you will contribute**

You will support elements of the site’s quality system, including internal documentation and change management control including quality policies amendments and registration of internal and external documentation, internal audits, effective PDCA cycles and CAPA system management and management review. In addition, you will coordinate the eQCMS bi-annual review, handle consumer complaints from start to finish, and serve as a key contact for food regulatory agency inspection and contacts management.

**More about this role**
- This role will be based out of the Cadbury Chocolate Manufacturing Plant located at Gladstone, Toronto, Ontario. We manufacture all local gems of the Cadbury brand including Dairy Milk, Caramilk, Crème Egg, Mini Eggs, Mr. Big and many more
- This position contributes to the overall success of the quality agenda of the manufacturing plant. This will be done by ensuring overall Quality and Food Safety management of one section of the plant - which includes 3 Process Lines, 3 Packaging Lines, and the Shipping Department.
- This role will partner and provide quality assurance support to the relevant Operations Team, Shipping team, and Logistics team on a day-to-day basis and will also ensure all produced products for these areas meet Mondelēz corporate requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.
- You will be the Site administrator of the Quality Software system that is being used to electronically document quality & food safety checks performed in production.
- Lead Investigations, and Root Cause analysis for Product Incidents, GMP issues, Consumer Complaints. Provide guidance and support to operations, manage issues, resume operations in a timely manner.
- Ensure non-conforming materials are properly controlled, identified and disposition appropriately as per local SOPs and Corporate Quality Requirements.
- Drive reduction in Consumer Complaints and Holds by leading Corrective Actions activities for trending issues in your area.
- Participate in GMP Audits, Internal Audits as scheduled.
- Work in conjunction with production to create, and revise applicable SOPs, Forms, and work instructions for your responsible production areas.
- Ensure all core quality competency trainings are completed for the Production staff for your responsible areas
- Conduct routine Gemba walks to provide coaching to Production personnel to ensure that Good Housekeeping, Good Manufacturing, and Good Documentation Practices are maintained.
- Key member in change management activities related to first productions, engineering projects for your areas.

**Education / Certifications**:

- BSc Degree in Biology, Food Science or other technical field or equivalent years of related experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of Quality control/quality assurance experience preferably in a Food manufacturing environment.

**Job specific requirements**:

- Strong knowledge & experience of SAP, Quality software systems, & MS office.
- Adaptable - must handle multiple situations at one time and be able to prioritize for maximum efficiency
- Communicates effectively with all positions orally and written in a professional manner
- Must be able to effectively analyze issues / problems and develop solutions
- Demonstrates initiative & perform duties without direct supervision
