Shop/logistics Lead

**Job Summary**
We are currently seeking a **Shop and Logistics Lead**to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations within the shop, ensuring smooth logistics, efficient workflow, and strong coordination between departments. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics processes, including inventory management, transportation planning, and warehouse distribution.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee daily shop operations and provide direction to team members.
- Manage logistics, including booking trucks and coordinating deliveries/pickups.
- Handle purchasing and procurement of materials and supplies.
- Verify shipments and ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing orders.
- Work directly on the shop floor to support production and ensure schedules are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role within a shop, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient with basic computer systems and inventory tracking.
- Forklift experience or certification is required.
