Job Summary
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment following established protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of instruments for dental procedures, ensuring all tools are properly cleaned and sterilized.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to infection control standards.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of sterilization supplies and report any shortages or needs.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic for tracking instrument usage and patient information as needed.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and participate in ongoing training sessions.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in Dental Assisting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in the fields of Pediatrics and Orthodontics, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
