Maintenance Associate

Established in 2020, Mini Mall Storage Properties has been successfully acquiring storage facilities throughout North America with rapid expansion in the United States. We have a team of talented and diverse self-storage experts who span across 15 states and 7 provinces to support and manage our rapid growth across North America. Maintenance Associates (MA) play a key role by keeping our facilities safe and in excellent condition. As a Maintenance Associate, you will help ensure our properties present well, and that safety and security measures are being met. Additionally, you will utilize your other skills such as basic plumbing, electrical, door and drywall repairs, replacing locks and other duties as needed.

- You enjoy preventive maintenance; you have a keen eye and ensure things are upkept and fixed before they become a bigger issue

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Responsible for daily onsite maintenance site upkeep and repair
- Executing daily site walks; checking for cleanliness, hazards, unit count, damage repair
- Drive a Skid Steer, tractor, commercial forklift, and a 5 ton Truck,
- Completing vacancy checks, marking vacant units and reporting unauthorized move ins
- Vacant unit condition checks and upkeep prior to customer move in
- Collaborate with front office staff to ensure the property is operating efficiently
- Managing overlocking units when instructed due to overdue rents, and removing overlocks when ledgers are cleared
- Supporting in the auction process when required
- Seasonal upkeep of the property

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- Maintenance/handyperson experience required
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License, with air break endorsement
- Must complete & pass a criminal record check
- Well organized and strong attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Experience with a commercial forklift is required
- Experience and certification with a Skid Steere is required
- Experience with a John Deere is required

- This position pays between $23 - $25 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
