KJS Transport is an asset based transportation provider with a presence all over North America. KJS is proud to be known as one of the fastest growing companies with a fleet of over 150 trucks, 300 dry vans and 50 reefer trailers We are actively recruiting for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator out of our head-quarters in Brampton ON.
- **How you'll help**:_
- _Assign available customer loads to available units using the most cost-effective solution while respecting HOS Regulations, Driver Home Time, Capacity Management and Company mandated RPM._
- _Maintain high vehicle utilization percentage and driver miles_
- _Build load requirement forecast projecting needed freight by location and asset_
- _Provide customers with quotes_
- _On-board new customers and service live customers_
- _Build strong relationships with customers & drivers_
- _Utilize customer database and tools such as Load link & DAT to secure freight based on asset positioning_
- _Negotiate rates, pick-up/delivery appointments with customers_
- _Ensure that all agreed to pickup and delivery requirements are met_
- _Audit all customer load sheets to ensure they do not go against KJS company policies_
- _Assist drivers with any OTR breakdowns, flat tires, etc._
- _Collaborate with Logistics group to seek or aid with capacity issues._
- _Assist other Planners on securing opportunities in their assigned areas when required._
- _Communicate with safety department to ensure all drivers/units are licensed appropriately for assigned task_
- _Complete shift turnover report at the end of every shift with all necessary data/information _
- **Your skills & experience**:_
- _Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation_
- _Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management skills_
- _Strong conflict resolution skills_
- _Results focused and ability to work deadlines in a high transactional environment_
- _Ability to champion business needs in a collaborative manner_
- _Superior time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision are essential_
- _Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude are critical_
- _Previous experience with DTMS (Degama) would be an asset_
