**The Role**

The **Shift / Line Leader** is responsible for front-line leadership of the production employees. This role provides direction to production floor staff in the areas of safety, quality, production, and training to improve line efficiencies. The Shift/Line Leader works closely with the Production Manager.

**What You Will Do**

Lead and train all production employees.

Operate general line can equipment, ensuring all specified requirements are met.

Establish and monitor shift performance against safety, quality, and production standards.

Conduct safety observations and follow up on issues with operators as needed.

Collaborate with the Production Manager to control and improve efficiencies, minimize overtime, downtime, and repair costs.

Work with the Production Manager to ensure all machines have adequate backup coverage.

Accurately enter production data into the system to measure and monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), focusing on efficiency, downtime, and quality.

Update communication boards to keep production team members informed about safety, quality, and efficiency metrics.

Promote 5S lean initiatives to maintain an organized work area.

Act as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failures or production issues.

Conduct tool inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and parts are available when needed.

Monitor rejected products and perform waste counts.

Assist in daily preventative maintenance and perform minor repairs and part replacements as needed.

Ensure the plant adheres to safety and environmental regulations.

Support other departments as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge & Qualifications**

Education and/or credentials in manufacturing or a related field

Five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with packaging products

Must be able to communicate exceptionally well in English

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
