We are looking for someone who is keen to immerse themselves in the world of bread-baking. Bread by Us prides itself on high-quality bread and high levels of consistency. We provide a supportive training environment, and are willing to train people with mínimal bread-baking experience, as long as they have some foundations in foodservice.

As a full-time baker, you will be expected to work 10 hour shifts, 4 days/week. We ask all staff to be available one weekend day. We do our best not to schedule anyone on both Saturday & Sunday.

As a bread-baker, you are responsible for:
Executing the production of bread and pastries from mixing all the way through to baking. This includes: reading and following recipes precisely, having a knowledge of baking techniques, using basic kitchen equipment such as ovens and mixers.

Ensuring product quality and consistency; the baker is expected to develop an understanding of the quality standards that have been established at our workplace.

Working closely with the Front of House and Prep team to ensure production is on schedule, meets quality standards, and that orders are filled appropriately. FOH and prep staff rely on the broad knowledge and expertise of the baking staff, and so trained bakers are expected to have a solid understanding of our products, processes, and capabilities.

Ensuring the bakery and baking equipment is clean and well-maintained, in an effort to protect public safety and worker safety.
