Animal Care Attendant

We are looking for a dedicated full time animal care attendant for our animal shelter in Chatham. This is a full time position and working every other weekends is mandatory.
Some of the duties include:
- Ensures the comfort and cleanliness of resident animals by cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining animal colonies, condos, and cages. This includes, but is not limited to: sanitizing cages and kennels, mopping, sweeping, cleaning and refilling litter pans and food bowls, collecting garbage and restocking items.
- Plan and perform treatments as needed.
- Feed animals as scheduled and makes sure they have fresh water at all times.
- Provide an impeccable educational and supportive experience for all guests, which includes warmly greeting all guests of the shelter, tending to their questions, and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Perform adoption follow-up calls and counseling.
- Answer main shelter phone line and direct all calls appropriately.
- Properly maintain shelter records in the database management software.
- Cleans, disinfects, and maintains facility common areas including, but not limited to: Mopping/sweeping hallways, offices and public rooms, cleaning bathrooms, restocking and managing shelter supply inventory.

Pay: $35,360.00-$41,000.00 per year
