Overview:
As a Chef De Partie (CDP) you are responsible supporting the Kitchen Manager in a busy outlet kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food.

Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.

**Responsibilities**:

- Takes care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by the superiors to meet the standards
- Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks.
- Coordinates daily tasks with the Kitchen Manager
- Assists junior chefs or cooks
- Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
- Ensure highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis.
- Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.
- Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
- Follows good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products at the right temperature.
- Operate and maintain all department equipment and reporting of malfunctioning.
- Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
- Establishes and maintains effective inter-departmental working relationships.
- Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils.
- Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim.
- Checks periodically expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the section.
- Consults daily with the Kitchen Manager on the daily requirements, functions and also about any last minute events.
- Daily feedback collection and reporting of issues as they arise.
- Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a college or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Minimum of one year of prior work experience in similar position is required

SKILLS
- Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- Able to perform a variety of complicated tasks.
- Must possess excellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent time management skills, along with the ability to forecast the time management needs of others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to move throughout the kitchen (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more.
- The work environment characteristics described here may be representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a kitchen setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
