**Employment Qualifications**:
**EDUCATION**
- A degree, certificate, or diploma in Early Childhood Education would be an asset

**EXPERIENCE**
- A proven ability to work with children aged 2 to 12 and foster a positive, healthy environment is a necessity.

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Ability to relate sensitively to the children.
- Evidence of sufficient security and judgment to handle crisis situations and to use supervision constructively.
- Ability to recognize and to record significant individual and group behavior.
- Enthusiastic personality and energetic, positive attitude is essential to creating a learning environment.

**SKILLS**
- Sensitivity to the individual and group needs of children.
- Ability in planning programs, being flexible in offering free choice in arts and crafts, music, gym, inside and outside activities, with health and safety procedures in mind.
- Ability to work with children and adults effectively.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate level C.
- Being able to work willingly with co-workers in all aspects surrounding the care of the children.
- Being able to plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in harmony with the center's philosophy and NB Curriculum.
- Being able to have positive communication with parents.

**OTHER**
- Dependability, reliability, and trustworthiness required and maintained.
- Valid Criminal Check/Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
- Social Development Check (will be completed upon hiring)
- Highly motivated and a high level of positive personal behavior, outgoing, and communicates easily.
- Must be available to work all hours from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm as needed
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is an asset (CPI Certificate) is an asset
- Food Safety Course is an asset.
- Experience and education is required and will reflect pay level

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.90-$24.47 per hour. (Early Child hood certificate holders only receive the high pay level + based on 2 years experience).
