Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Client & Business Development, and working with the Client Development & Marketing Team, the Business Development Coordinator will assist with executing firm-wide business development strategies across several Practice Groups. The coordinator will collaborate with the broader team on a diverse array of initiatives. The responsibilities will include a wide variety of initiatives, including the execution of research, assisting with pitch materials, presentations, responses to requests for proposal, marketing content management, marketing communications, events, sponsorships and general business development activities.

This role will involve developing a deep understanding of both departmental and firm-wide priorities, ensuring that the team's efforts align with and support the firms overarching goals.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Assist with the implementation of strategic business development and marketing plans for assigned practice groups
- Maintain practice group case lists, assist with the management of directory and award submissions, and assist in the drafting of matter descriptions for internal and external use
- Conduct competitive intelligence research in connection with potential clients or markets, market developments and competitor activities
- Prepare market activity reports and client reports as requested
- Assist in the planning and execution of client seminars, major client events and other educational initiatives, including assisting with production of handouts and collateral materials, managing guest lists in CRM, and coordinating with follow up activities
- Participate in and prepare materials for practice group partner meetings
- Work with the Pursuits team in responses to RFPs, credentials and other documentation requests from practice group lawyers and clients as needed
- Work with the Marketing team to update web content and client facing materials
- Work with colleagues to support contact management efforts (including database and contact updates, development of targeted marketing lists, tagging client activities, etc.).
- Perform other duties as required to assist the Client Development department

**Position Requirements**
- Education and Experience_

This position requires a university degree or college diploma. 1-2 years of experience in a professional services environment, preferably with a law firm, in a marketing or business development role is a plus. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.
- Knowledge and Skills_
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
- A team player who also works well independently
- Superb attention to detail, disciplined execution and follow-through skills
- Excellent time management skills are essential
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
