Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Analyze and evaluate project scope, risks, and opportunities
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data
- Utilize estimating software and tools to create comprehensive estimates
- Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Track and manage changes in project scope, costs, and schedule
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
**Skills**:
- Negotiation: Ability to negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Building: Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Project Management: Ability to track and manage changes in project scope, costs, and schedule.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
