**Housekeeping Room Attendant**

**Location**:_T_he Champlain Waterfront Hotel.

**Comfort Inn Pembroke** is currently recruiting for **Housekeeping Room Attendant reporting to** the Housekeeping Manager or the Front Desk Manager

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not**

**Job duties**

Here are some of the main activities and tasks that Light duty cleaners have to perform, and some of the physical demands they involve:

- Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
- Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
- Stock linen closets and other supplies' areas
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators
- Disinfect operating rooms and other hospital areas
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
- Report and store lost and found items
- May provide basic information on facilities
- May handle complaints.

**Qualifications**

**Knowledge/Education/Experience**:

- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- **QualificationsKnowledge/Education/Experience:Physical Requirements**:

- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Choice hotels experience will be a plus
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to stand, bend, lift during the entire shift.
- Long hours are sometimes required.
- Strong Communication ability with other departments
- Must have work authorization for Canada
- **Mental Requirements**:

- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must maintain composure under pressure

Pay: $17.20-$1,720.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)

- Room Attendant : 1 year (required)
