**About ADM**

**About the position**

Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, reporting to the NA Canola Trade Manager, this is an intermediate level position which is part of the soft seeds merchandising team. This position will be accountable for the procurement of raw materials to achieve optimum financial results. The position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with accounts, including the coordinating of logistics, accounting, and other customer related issues. Primary duties will be the origination of oilseeds, coordinating facility logistics, and proper management of all other customer and commercial related objectives. As an intermediate member of the merchandising team, this position requires a higher level of strategic thinking, market knowledge and employee development than an entry-level position.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Builds and fosters relationships for domestic procurement
- Actively manages location commodity risk
- Maintains an up to date knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, revising marketing strategies and programs to capitalize on opportunities
- Creates and manages the implementation of marketing strategies to originate grain for our North American and international processing and trading networks
- Aids in analyzing potential key supplier opportunities within domestic channels
- Develops key communication links within the company to ensure optimal use of ADM market access.
- Actively uses ADM provided tools for tracking key metrics, goals, development etc
- Constantly seeking out new opportunities for growth
- All other duties required

**Education or Work Experience**
- A University degree in agriculture or business (i.e. economics, finance, and accounting) supplemented with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the marketing of commodities and related food, feed and/or fuel products in North America. Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience in agriculture will be considered

**Health and Safety**
- Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
- Individual must be committed to corporate ethics policies & safety programs
