Maintenance Helper

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or designate, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled or skilled duties relative to the assigned trade and assist trades people in the performance of their duties.

Assignment - Temporary, day shift, Monday - Friday

Your Responsibilities

The maintenance helper assists trades people in the performance of their duties or works independently. You will Perform a variety of skilled or semi-skilled duties relative to the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and ancillary equipment from sketches and working drawings. You will prepare worksites for trades people, and delivery of tools. Utilizing those power and hand tools necessary to perform the designated trade. While assisting other employees as appropriate. You may on occasion be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Experience, Education and Skills

High school graduation or the equivalent

One year experience related to the assigned trade

Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions

Working knowledge of drawings and specifications

Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License

Physical capability to perform the job duties

Competent in the use and care of tools and equipment common to the assigned trades
