We are looking for a **RIBO licensed personal lines underwriter** to evaluate applicants for insurance and recommend the appropriate action to take on that level of risk. You will work closely with the Producers who have direct access to the clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze applicants' data
- Evaluate, classify, and rate each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing
- Identifies and obtains additional information required to conduct a proper analysis of risk
- Keeping up on industry knowledge (Products and Software).
- Evaluate software-based recommendations
- Research applicants as necessary
- Authorize transmittal of documents to brokers and markets as required
- Prepares and maintains periodic reports pertinent to the ongoing operation
- Provides advice and expertise on underwriting issues

**Qualifications**:

- Have superior verbal and written skills
- Be an analytical thinker
- Be a good decision maker
- RIBO License
- 1 years underwriting experience
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Powerbroker and Compu-Quote an asset but not required
