- The Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Provincial Police, and the Bureau Commander, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau are seeking a qualified individual to join the Provincial Guns and Gangs Joint Forces Enforcement Team (GNG). In this exciting, rewarding and challenging opportunity, you will conduct operational/tactical/strategic intelligence and crime analysis on relevant issues involving criminal activity in the Province of Ontario.

The Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) is committed to crime prevention and the delivery of investigative excellence in support of our front line officers, our policing partners and justice sector stakeholders across jurisdictions so that we can continue to dismantle organized crime and enhance public safety.
The Provincial Guns and Gangs Joint Forces Enforcement Team (GNG) is comprised of members from twenty-three Municipal Police Services, the Surete Du Quebec (QPP), and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). GNG is an investigative unit that is responsible for the investigation of criminal activity in relation to street gangs operating in the Province of Ontario.

**About the job**: Intelligence Analysts conduct operational/tactical/strategic intelligence and crime analysis on relevant issues involving criminal activity in the Province of Ontario. In addition, they develop various analytical intelligence products, propose solutions, operational strategies and provide strategic reports that will assist with intelligence-led approaches to combating organized crime, major crime, Regional crime and/or terrorism.**What you bring to the team**:

- Ability to pass an OPP background/ security investigation.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Driver's License
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Knowledge of key issues associated with organized crime, major crime, regional crime and extremist/terrorist activities within the Province, as they relate to intelligence operations, and international and domestic organized crime and terrorism groups and associations possessing criminal capabilities.
- Knowledge and experience with analyzing signals and human intelligence as well as geospatial/imagery intelligence.
- Knowledge of criminal investigative techniques, analytical methodologies, and case management, to identify sensitive issues and perform targeted analysis; and to develop intelligence assessments.
- Knowledge of operational, tactical and strategic analytical methods, to integrate, synthesize and evaluate quantitative/qualitative data and information from multi-jurisdictional sources; to plan and design analytical approaches; and to prepare summary analyses of information from cross-jurisdictional sources.
- Oral communication and interpersonal skills to present research findings to senior management, make recommendations related to intelligence assessments, network with and act as a resource to cross-jurisdictional law enforcement and intelligence agencies, exchange information and organized crime, major crime, regional crime and extremist/terrorist analytical findings, discuss intelligence issues, participate in consultation processes, and provide support for coordinated intelligence operations.
- Written communication skills with the ability to write strategically, operationally, and tactically, to draft policy papers, presentations, reports, assessments, correspondence, briefing notes, and materials for speeches and presentations.
- Ability to identify and analyze trends, patterns and series related to organized crime, major crime, regional crime and extremist/terrorist activity. Analytical skills and creativity to prepare intelligence assessments and organized crime and extremist/terrorist profiles.
