We are currently looking for a skilled **Meat Cutter **to join our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle, cut, prepare, and wrap meat products for department
- Follow store procedures for receiving, pricing, stocking, and storing of meat products
- Merchandising and maintaining displays
- Assist Store Manager with taking inventory
- Provide customers with friendly and professional service to meet their needs
- Prepare special orders
- Keep the meat shop, tools, and display areas clean and safe at all times per company requirements
- Comply with all government regulations concerning Health and Safety, Food Safety, and equipment use
- Undertake other related duties on a periodic basis

**Equipment and Machinery Experience**:

- Slicing machine
- Sausage machine
- Power grinder
- Manual cutting utensil
- Band saw

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1-year meat cutting experience; ideally in a high-volume grocery/retail environment
- Minimum 1-year product rotation and merchandising experience
- Extensive knowledge of the meat industry, especially meat cuts
- Available to work days, afternoons, evenings, holidays and weekends, as required
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Standing for extended periods
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Able to lift up to 80lbs
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Fluency in French and English considered an asset

**Must be able to work 30 hours per week.**

**Job Type**:Part-time or Full-time

**Salary**: $15.00/Hr
