Veterinary Receptionist

Campbell Road Veterinary Services is looking for experienced veterinary receptionist to join our pet health care team.

We are a companion animal veterinary hospital. We strive to maintain a relaxed, friendly, compassionate environment for both clients and support team members.

We emphasize preventative care and maintaining a high quality of life for our patients. We believe that client education is essential to the practice of veterinary medicine. At our practice, our clientele trusts us and are comfortable about asking questions about their pet and the recommended veterinary care plan.

**Location**:
We are located on a pretty rural property, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still an easy drive from Smiths Falls, Perth, Carleton Place, Kemptville and Ottawa.

**Work/Life Balance**

We love that we help pets on a daily basis but we know that everyone needs a work/life balance. No shift work, no split shifts and no weekend work. We even close the hospital over Christmas to allow everyone to spend time with their families and enjoy the holidays.

We believe that everyone on our pet health care team is extremely valuable. We know that a front desk position requires a special skill set and personality.

**A successful veterinary receptionist must**:

- be able to present a professional appearance and manner at all times
- have the ability to be outgoing and compassionate
- genuinely like both people and pets
- have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced work place
- have excellent telephone skills
- have good computer skills and be comfortable with Social Media
- be able to work both independently and as a team member
- have the desire and ability to communicate with clients
- have the desire and initiative and follow through to be a contributing member of our pet health team

**Education/Skills**
- Read and write English proficiently.
- Experience in the veterinary field.
- Experience with the Veterinary Software Impromed Infinity would be beneficial.
- Experience with Pet Desk and the veterinary on-line store would be beneficial.

**Rabies**
- Be vaccinated/or be willing for be vaccinated against rabies, have a rabies titre checked yearly or as advised by their doctor.

**Wage/Schedule**

We offer a competitive wage, and a great schedule. The position requires 24-44 hrs per week. We encourage and support continuing education. Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.

**Job Type**: Full-time or Part-time,

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.

**COVID-19 considerations**:
All employees are double vaccinated, the number of clients in the building is limited. Depending on current government recommendation, staff and clients may have to wear a mask. Hand sanitizer is used frequently. Enhanced cleaning procedures. Telemedicine appointments are available, drop off appointments.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

COVID-19 considerations:
Depending on current government recommendation staff and clients may be required to wear a mask. We limit the number of clients in the building, and we use enhanced cleaning procedures. All staff are required to be double vaccinated for COVID.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Smiths Falls, ON K7A 4S6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
