**Overview**
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island (CPSPEI) serves and protects the public by regulating the practice of medicine in the province. With 3 office staff, CPSPEI is currently seeking a Registration Agent.
**Responsibilities**
Below is an outline of key responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality
- Conduct oneself honestly and ethically in business dealings and when handling confidential information
- Work in accordance with the College’s mission, values, mandate, and goals.
- All staff of the College are required to adhere to College policies
- Issue Certificates of Professional Conduct
- Prepare and send annual physician registration renewal packages - including processing of payments and sending receipts and following up on outstanding receivables
- Ensure compliance with registration conditions and restrictions
- Maintain the Register for all physicians, medical students and physician assistants and provide reports as requested
- Consult with the Deputy Registrar to engage legal advisors concerning jurisprudence affecting registration and licensure as needed
- Develop and distribute relevant statistical information related to registration / licensure
- Support the Registration Lead and other committees as required
- Maintain and update database
- Work with provincial Colleges, Medical Council of Canada, hospitals and government regarding physician licensure
- Provide organizational support to the CPSPEI as needed
- Other duties as required
**Required Education and Experience**:
- Post-secondary education with training in administrative practices or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working in an office-based environment, providing support relevant to duties of this position
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and database management systems
- Previous experience dealing with patients or the public is an asset
- Relevant experience in registering individuals into a regulatory body or like entity is an asset

- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent editing and proof-reading skills
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during busy or stressful times
- Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority and protecting confidential information a must
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Team player who can also work independently and take initiative
**Additional Requirements**
Must reside in the greater Charlottetown area.
Pay: $50,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
