Financial Controller

A growing group of family-owned stores is looking for a Financial Controller. With a head office located in the brand-new Clarington Home Hardware Building Centre in Bowmanville, Ontario, this position will oversee financial operations, be supported by an office team, and collaborate with in-store management. This important leadership position will help influence overall company success, direction and organizational culture as we continue to grow.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Manage and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Perform regular account analysis to identify variances and trends.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are met.
- Build and manage the finance department as we continue to grow
**Skills**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
