We’re currently seeking a Recreational Activity Aide to join our team in a long-term care setting.

Job Summary

As a Recreational Activity Aide, you will help plan and lead engaging activities that promote wellness, social interaction, and enjoyment for residents. This role is ideal for someone creative, empathetic, and enthusiastic about working with seniors.

**Responsibilities**:
Organize and facilitate recreational programs (e.g., games, music, crafts, social events)

Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs

Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ emotional and physical well-being

Maintain attendance records and assist with program evaluation

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment

**Qualifications**:
Experience working with seniors or in a long-term care setting preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Creative, patient, and team-oriented

Ability to work independently and follow care plans

Required Certifications

CPR & First Aid Certification

Food Handler’s Certificate (if assisting with food-related activities)

Recreation Therapy Certificate or equivalent (preferred)

Vulnerable Sector Check (required before start date)
