**Job Overview**
- Part-time, contract
- Hours per week vary depending on each student’s needs and the tutor’s availability
- Most tutoring sessions occur in the evenings & on weekends
- Preference for tutors who can commit for the school year or semester
- Compensation generally ranges from a base rate of $20-25/hr, depending on educational qualifications and work experience.
- We serve students in
- person & virtually throughout Orleans, Rockland, Cumberland,Navan, and Gloucester.

**Duties**:
Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students Assess students' academic needs and develop personalized lesson plans Help students understand and complete assignments Review and reinforce concepts taught in the classroom Assist with test preparation

Travel to and tutor in student's home(pre-screened for safety)/library or tutor online Monitor student progress and submit session reports for each student

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Certified or retired teachers,professionals, student teachers, Education Assistants, etc.
- University/College students (completed at least one full year of University/College ), graduates, or post-graduates
- The ability/experience to tutor in any of the following: Math, Physics,and Chemistry.
- Have knowledge of Ontario K-12 School Curriculum.
- Previous experience working with special needs (an asset)
- Access to reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and able to travel in and around Orleans, Rockland, Cumberland,Navan, and/or Gloucester.
- Open to completing a criminal background check (Background checks from other agencies are accepted)
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
