**Position Description**
**Title**: Warehouse Supervisor
**Department**: Supply Chain
**Immediate Supervisor**: Supply Chain Manager
**Status**: Exempt
**Position Purpose**: To help us reach our goals we are looking for an energetic, motivated individual to join our team in Truro, NS. Reporting to the supply chain manager, this position is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the warehouse department including, performance outcomes, productivity targets, continuous improvement initiatives, OHS and employee relations. **Principle Accountabilities**
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and maintaining the organizational standards and adhering to legal regulations.
- Manages warehouse operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving problems; maintaining reference manuals; and implementing new procedures.
- Accomplishes results by coaching employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing and enforcing company systems, policies, and procedures.
- Controls expenses by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, monitoring variances; and implementing corrective actions.
- Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
- Coordinates and manages inventory cycle counts.
- Related tasks as requested by supervisor.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Business or Supply Chain preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. A combination of education and supervisory experience in a similar industry may be considered.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with demonstrated skills in making sound decisions is critical.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Able to deal with ambiguity and successfully manage change will be critical.
- A dedicated team player who works well cross functionally.
- Solid computers skills including MS Office with focus on Excel would be an asset.
- Experience in lean manufacturing is a strong asset.
