**Pay Rate**: $19.48/hr.

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Implement security measures to protect property, control access to the site, patrol assigned areas to monitor activities and ensure client rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensure site safety and emergency procedures are followed and maintain written reports.
- Direct visitors to appropriate areas, perform security checks, and liaise with visitors, customers, and the public.
- Enforce compliance to company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through collaboration.
- Check that Contractor’s IEC and Site-Specific Safety training is current.
- Issue a swipe card and complete relevant documentation.
- Issue vehicle passes and complete documentation.
- Complete vehicle inspections and paperwork for DTR loads.
- Record bulk truck and SPS trailer information on the Fleet database.
- Update all information in Security Office, Doorway and Information Board when required.
- Monitor Surveillance camera system.
- Conduct site Patrols and complete reports.
- First aid - be prepared to administer when required.
- Answer the switch board phone calls.
- Public Announcements to the site including Heat Stress, Adverse Weather updates.
- Order supplies as needed for Office, First Aid, CO monitor’s etc., including eyewash stations.
- Ensuring site safety expectations are provided to all personnel before entry to site.
- Update the database as necessary and inform Shift Supervisor of updates.
- Performs weekly waste inspections.
- Trespassers - deal with in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Month end filing for documentation that is to be stored.
- Housekeeping is an essential security function.
- Perform miscellaneous job - related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Must possess Ontario Security Guard License.
- First Aid & CPR - Level C
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability.
- Patrol assigned area on foot, as assigned.
- Computer knowledge
- Security Guards at Cabot may be required to complete a drug & alcohol test for incidents that occur on Cabot property. _

**At the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following prerequisites**:

- Immunization Record
- A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Proficient in English (both oral and written)

**Successful completion of the following requirements provided by Paladin are mandatory prior to placement**:

- Management of Aggressive Behavior
- Use of Force
- Report Writing
- Additional courses as assigned
- Basic Safety Orientation through the Industrial Educational Cooperative.
- Site specific training

**Upon hire successful applicants will be required to complete the following Paladin online courses**:

- Successful completion of Paladin’s online Custom
