Flynn Industrial Ltd., a leading building envelope trade contractor in the institutional, commercial and industrial construction market place, requires an experienced Estimator for our Edmonton Branch.

Flynn Industrial Ltd. has enjoyed steady growth and success by providing quality contracting services and design assistance to ensure long-term performance and customer satisfaction. As a contractor, Flynn Industrial Ltd. plays a key role in blending architectural visions with practical detailing to ensure quality, functional, and high-performance Roof and Wall Systems. Flynn is positioned to serve the entire Canadian Industrial construction marketplace.
- A Day in the Life
- Review contract with Operations Manager and prior to his signing
- Co-ordinate the orderly flow of work to meet site schedules
- Communicate all aspects of job status i.e. extras, schedule delays etc. with client
- Negotiate extras for all applicable revisions and prepare necessary documentation (internal and external)
- Co-ordinate issuance of all contracts or purchase orders to subs
- Follow-up with on-site problems with Area Supervisors and Field Operations Manager
- Obtain percentage complete on each project for month end billing and reporting
- What We are Seeking
- Min. 5+ years’ experience within a Senior Project Manager Role with experience in estimating, drafting, shop & architectural drawings (panels, pre-engineering buildings, and metal roofing and cladding systems)
- Must demonstrate min. 5+ years’ experience in building envelope construction and design, with primary focus being metal roofing and cladding systems
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS office package
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
