**Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as required by federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance during trips.
- Follow established routes and schedules while being flexible to adapt to changes in delivery plans.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Own truck
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in long haul or freight transportation.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance on the road.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions on the road.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
- Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations throughout all operations.
