The JOB: Our team takes great pride in food, wine and spirit knowledge. We have great communication skills and an eye for detail. We build a lasting bond with our guests and welcome them back by name and have a great "stage presence". Our bartenders clearly communicate beverage descriptions and modifications with team members to ensure guests receive their requested beverage. Must be experienced with classic cocktail specifications and have a base knowledge of flavour balancing and pairing. THE DUTIES: - Create a positive experience through guest interaction and adherence to the steps of service - Maintain a full working knowledge of all menus and stock - Communicate beverage descriptions, specials and information to guests and team - Present beverages in a clear and organized manner at the service bar pick up area - Setup and take apart bar area - Stock and maintain all bar products including prep. - Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies THE IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: - SmartServe Certified - Incredibly personable & able to offer honest and genuine hospitality - At least 2 years bartending experience in a similar environment - Working knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, wine and beer - Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service - Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift and move heavy items such as cases of liquor - A Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time **Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour Schedule: - 10 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Application question(s): - Are you available weekends? - Please confirm you understand Marben pays full compensation, and we are a tip-free business. **Experience**: - bartending: 1 year (required)
