Riverview, Canada Reaching For Rainbows Child Development Centre Full time

We are looking to hire a cook for our early learning centre starting December 9th, 2024 - this will give our new cook one full week of training with our current cook who is retiring December 13th. We offer a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack for over 50 children 5 days a week. The responsibilities of our cook are as follows:

- Prepare weekly grocery lists
- Help prepare our seasonal menus (Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter)
- Has a vehicle for grocery pick up
- Helps with laundry and relieves early morning staff in a program at 3:45
- Prepares and cooks all of our snacks and lunches for children and staff (our staff can request meals on the days they would like, we offer meal tickets so our cook knows to prepare extra for staff).
- have experience in a kitchen setting specific to early learning centres (this is considered highly important for us)
- be certified in Standard First Aid and CPR
- be able to obtain a clear criminal record check for the Vulnerable Sector
- be able to obtain a clear prior contact check with the Department of Social Development, and

will possess the following personal and professional values, traits and characteristics:

- the ability to communicate, effectively, with other team members
- honesty, loyalty, sincerity, reliability and trust-worthiness
- a great work ethic and lots of initiative

**Job Types**: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Pay: $31,824.00-$37,440.00 per year
