**Guest Services Associate - the Royal Hotel Chilliwack**

Located in historic downtown Chilliwack, the Royal Hotel was established in 1908 and continues to be a desired heritage boutique destination. We are looking to hire a Front Desk Associate that fit in well with our existing collaborative team environment to provide every guest with a positive and enjoyable experience.

**Hotel Front Desk Job Responsibilities**:

- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Ascertain guest lodging, purchasing needs.
- Assists guests and staff in an approachable, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate follow-up as necessary.
- Comprehension of all essential aspects of hotel operations.
- Registers guests and manages the rooming platforms.
- Collects payments by processing credit cards from customers and through third party vendors.
- Monitors lobby, breakfast service, and check-out/in activity to determine room flow.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests quickly and effectively.
- Provides consistent information and support to guest pre, during and post stay dates.
- Facilitates correspondence with guests and communicates/assists with requests coordinating with other departments as needed.
- Works collaboratively with hotel associates and resources as required.

**Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements**:

- High school diploma
- Prior resort or hotel experience preferred
- Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software a plus

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
