**Position Overview**

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Construction Worker to join our team, specializing in general construction and building envelope work for **high-rise commercial buildings.**This position involves removing old windows and preparing building openings for new window installation, following all proper **safety and construction procedures.**

**Key responsibilities**
- Safely remove old windows from building openings, minimizing damage to surrounding structures
- Assist in various general construction tasks including framing, sealing, caulking, and finishing work
- Operate and maintain **construction tools and equipment** safely and effectively
- Work on **high-rise commercial building sites**, following all safety protocols for working at heights
- Read and follow construction **drawings,blueprints, and specifications**:

- Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized job site free of hazards at all times
- Adhere to all **health and safety regulations,** including correct use of fall protection, PPE, following the **site -specific rules and procedures**

**Qualifications**
- Minimum **3+ years of hands-on construction experience**in Canada (commercial construction preferred)
- Strong Knowledge of building **envelope systems**and water/weather proofing techniques
- Experience in **window removal and surface preparation** for new installation
- Experience in working on high-rise commercial construction sites
- **Valid**Working at heights certification-Mandatory to provide **proof at interview**:

- **Valid** WHMIS certification-Mandatory to provide **proof at interview**:

- **Valid**4-step Worker Health & Safety Awareness Certification-Mandatory to provide **proof at interview**:

- **Valid work authorization** in Canada for at least one (1) more year-Mandatory to provide **proof at interview**:

- Skilled in the safe and effective **use of hand tools and power tools**:

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of the team

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Standing, bending, Kneeling, and climbing for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
