Pharmacy Assistant

**Royal Drug Mart**, located in **Melville, SK** is currently accepting resumes for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant.
- 40 hours per week.
- The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- The usual shifts will be Monday to Friday with **only 1 weekend per month.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Performing specific dispensing functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice (under the supervision of a pharmacist).
- Receive written prescriptions from customers.
- Locate the medication, select the prescription container, and count/pour the medication.
- Attach the label to the prescription container.
- Ensure that the original container, prescription container contents, and label are checked and initialled by the pharmacist.
- Regularly phone customers for unclaimed prescriptions.
- Keep all areas of the pharmacy clean, neat, and professional.
- Maintain adequate stock of pharmacy supplies.
- Answer the pharmacy telephone.
- Perform other tasks as outlined by the pharmacy manager or staff pharmacists.

**Qualification & Requirements**:

- Preference will be given to those who have retail Pharmacy Assistant experience.
- Kroll experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
